As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s a great time to say thank you to our Hockey United community for all your support!

Our book drive was a huge success - 1,112 books collected!!  But now it’s time to turn to our next initiative:  collecting Christmas stockings and stocking stuffers to benefit Comfort for Kids (www.comfort4kids.org). Comfort for Kids was founded by a local girl who wanted to help foster kids celebrate the holidays.  Each year, she collects stuffed stockings to take to the Wake County holiday party for children in foster care.

This year, we want to help her out with collections.  A few ways you can help:

1) Bring new, unwrapped stocking stuffers to the rinks where you can leave them in all the bins.  To make it easy, we suggest toiletries for kids 9 and up - think personal care items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes and hair items, nail polish, nail files, shampoo, body wash, chapstick, etc.

2) Get your team together and stuff stockings for an age group of your choosing.

Please bring all items to the rink bins by Dec 6 - or for stuffed stocking delivery, please email us at Hockey United (team@hockeyunited.org).

Thanks so much for helping make the holidays brighter!
